01. About this policy

Nova Path Consultancy (“we”, “us” or “our”) explains in this policy how we collect, use and disclose personal information received through our website, enquiries and consultancy relationships. It also addresses corporate and commercially confidential information provided to us. Personal information means information about an identifiable individual; corporate information may contain personal information about directors, owners, employees or other contacts.

02. Information you provide

We may receive your name, email address, telephone number if you choose to provide it, role, company name, business contact details and the contents of your enquiry. You may also provide information about your company, ownership or corporate structure, operations, objectives, markets and proposed engagements, together with supporting documents or correspondence. Please provide only information relevant to your enquiry. If you provide personal information about another individual, you should have authority to do so and ensure they have been informed of the relevant purposes. An initial enquiry should not include unnecessary identity documents, payment details or sensitive personal information.

03. Website and technical information

Our website host may process IP addresses, browser and device details, request times and security or diagnostic logs to deliver and protect the website. Typography is currently requested from Google Fonts, which receives connection information when your browser loads those files. This website currently has no advertising trackers or analytics tools configured. If additional tracking is introduced, we will explain its purposes and provide any choices required by applicable law. Browser settings can control cookies and similar technologies.

04. How we use information

We may use information to respond to enquiries; understand your business and advisory needs; assess whether we can accept an engagement and the appropriate scope of services; prepare proposals and engagement arrangements; provide consultancy and related support; manage communications and our client relationship; maintain appropriate business records; and address legal, security, dispute-resolution or regulatory matters where relevant. We may also use information for internal service improvement, business analysis and statistical purposes, using aggregated or anonymised information where practicable. These purposes do not authorise unrelated use or unrestricted retention.

05. Consent and your choices

We collect, use and disclose personal information for the purposes notified to you, with consent where required, or where applicable law otherwise permits or requires it. We may seek additional information or consent if the purpose changes. You may decline optional information or withdraw consent on reasonable notice. If information essential to an enquiry or engagement is unavailable, or essential consent is withdrawn, this may limit the support we can provide; we will explain the relevant consequences.

06. Marketing and relevant partner services

With your separate opt-in consent where required, Nova Path may send email updates about our consultancy services. With a separate optional preference, we may also send information about selected partners’ services or potential introductions relevant to your business. An enquiry or engagement does not automatically subscribe you to marketing. Marketing preferences can be withdrawn through an unsubscribe option in a message or through our privacy contact channel. We will not disclose your personal contact details to a partner for that partner’s own marketing without appropriate notice and any consent required. If you separately opt in to partner sharing, we may disclose your name, business email, company or role and a general description of your service needs to selected providers of corporate setup, technology and professional advisory services, so that they may contact you about relevant support and introductions. The sharing preference is separate from receiving Nova Path’s own emails and can be withdrawn. We will identify the relevant recipient or sufficiently specific recipient category and purpose when requesting that consent. Confidential corporate records, supporting documents and detailed advisory material are not covered by this marketing permission and will require separate authority where disclosure is proposed. Providing a telephone number in an enquiry does not itself opt you into telephone, SMS or messaging-app marketing.

07. Who may receive information

Information may be accessible to authorised personnel and service providers who need it for the notified purposes, such as website hosting, business email, IT support, document management and professional advisers, where used for the relevant service. They should receive only the information necessary for their role and be subject to appropriate confidentiality, security and purpose restrictions. Selected service providers or partners may receive information for the introductions, services or marketing purposes for which you have opted in, or as otherwise appropriately notified and authorised for an engagement. We may also disclose information where lawfully required to authorities, or where permitted and necessary to address legal claims, protect rights or deal with a business reorganisation, with appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal information.

08. International processing

Global consultancy may involve access to or processing of information outside Singapore. Where personal information is transferred internationally, we will take steps required by applicable law to provide appropriate protection, including contractual or other recognised safeguards where necessary. The countries and providers relevant to a particular engagement depend on its scope and the arrangements agreed; information is not automatically sent to every region described on our website.

09. Confidentiality and security

We treat non-public business and corporate information with professional care and limit its use and disclosure to the relevant engagement, the purposes explained in this policy, applicable engagement terms and lawful requirements. Access should be limited to those who need the information. Reasonable organisational and technical measures should be used to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure. No online transmission or storage method is completely secure. Engagement-specific confidentiality and secure document-sharing arrangements may be agreed separately. We will assess suspected personal data breaches and make notifications where required by applicable law.

10. Retention

We retain identifiable information only while it is needed for the purposes for which it was collected, or for a necessary legal or business purpose, such as managing an engagement, keeping required records or addressing a dispute. When it is no longer needed, it should be deleted, securely disposed of or anonymised. For enquiries that do not become engagements, our standard is to delete or anonymise personal information 24 months after the last meaningful contact, unless it remains necessary for an ongoing matter, a legal obligation or another documented legal or business purpose. Client engagement records may require a different period. A limited record of an unsubscribe or objection may be retained to respect that preference.

11. Access, correction and privacy requests

Subject to applicable law and relevant exceptions, you may request access to your personal information and information about its use or disclosure, ask for inaccurate information to be corrected, withdraw consent or raise a privacy concern. Additional rights may apply under laws relevant to your circumstances. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity or authority, and will explain any lawful limitation or permitted fee. Requests will be addressed within applicable time limits. Privacy requests may be directed to the company’s designated privacy contact through the website enquiry form using the subject “Privacy request”. The recipient email address is not displayed publicly. The form must be connected to a monitored privacy contact before the live website begins accepting requests; the current design preview does not transmit form entries. You may also raise a concern with the relevant data protection authority, including Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Commission.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services, information practices or applicable requirements. The current version and its revision date will be made available on this website. A material new purpose will be notified separately, with additional consent sought where required. This policy describes information practices and does not replace the terms of a consultancy engagement.
